Premier Giorgia Meloni, the leader of
the right-wing Brothers of Italy (FdI) party, and centre-left
Democratic Party (PD) leader Elly Schlein will face off in a
televised debate on May 23 before next month's European
elections.
A joint statement by the two leaders' teams said the debate
would take place on the 'Porta a Porta' show of veteran
journalist Bruno Vespa on State broadcaster Rai.
