Austria, Poland, and the Czech
Republic have extended border controls with Slovakia for another
20 days in order to prevent migrants from entering via the
eastern route. The checks were decided on October 4 and were
supposed to end this Saturday, but they will now be extended
until at least November 2, according to the Austrian Interior
Minister Gerhard Karner, who emphasised the close cooperation
with Prague and Warsaw.
