According to what diplomatic
sources told ANSA, Lithuanian Foreign Minister Krišjānis Kariņš
has harshly criticised his Hungarian counterpart for the
handshake between Viktor Orban and Vladimir Putin. "How do we
know Budapest's positions are not dictated by Moscow?" Kariņš
asked in Luxembourg. Péter Szijjártó, the head of Hungarian
diplomacy, responded that "Hungary is a sovereign country" and
that its prime minister "meets whoever he wants."
