Stefania Constantini and Amos Mosaner
won the mixed doubles curling on Tuesday to capture Italy's
second gold medal of the Beijing Winter Olympics, beating
Norway's Kristin Skaslien and Magnus Nedregotten 8-5.
It is Italy's first Olympic medal in curling.
Constantini and Mosaner quickly recovered from a nervous start,
built a big lead and held their nerve right until the end.
They have been magnificent throughout the tournament, winning
all 11 of their matches.
It is the Azzurri's seventh medal of Beijing 2020 and the second
gold after Arianna Fontana triumphed in the women's 500 metre
short track event on Monday.
