(ANSA) - ROME, SEP 26 - Ryder Cup Team Europe Captain Luke
Donald and his American counterpart Zach Johnson have agreed
that this week's battle of the continent's in Rome is set to be
something special.
"We can wait to start," Donald told a press conference on Monday
ahead of golf's epic contest between Europe and the United
States at the Marco Simone Golf & Country Club from Friday until
Sunday.
"I'm very excited. It's been a year since I came here to see the
course.
"It's going to be something spectacular.
"All of those involved in the organization have done an
exceptional job.
"I've never seen such big stands and the hospitality sector is
impressive too.
Johnson echoed those sentiments.
"This place, the Marco Simone, never disappoints," he said.
"The green of the course is fantastic. The grass is in excellent
health.
"But what excites more is the Italian people". (ANSA).
