(ANSA) - TRIESTE, 16 GIU - Young artists from Italy, Croatia,
Macedonia will perform in churches, villas, castles, and
wineries along and across the border between Fvg and Slovenia
within the 14th edition of the Piccolo Opera Festival directed
by Gabriele Ribis, which will begin on June 19 in Cormòns
(Gorizia) and end on July 18 18. "An original project capable of
offering an authentic no-borders 'Opera Experience' - the
artistic director explained - focusing on music, landscape,
places of extraordinary evocative power." The program includes
24 shows in 5 sections to set up an increasingly cross-border
event and involves the Brda, which was included with the Collio
in the Unesco Heritage Tentative List. Among the novelties of
this year's edition, seven events featuring music, natural
environment, and typical food in the Collio, Brda, and Colli
Orientali from June 20 to July 15. Musical routes include
"Concerts of taste" involving local producers, with wine
tasting. The newly formed International Crescendo Academy of
Buje (Croatia) participated in shaping the musical programs.
Among the performers are the vocal ensemble "Ad Libitum" of the
Italian community of Brtonigla (Croatia), the duo Lora Pavletic
and Emilio Bezzi, the duo formed by soprano Federica Vinci and
accordionist Boban. The preview "Bravo, bravo, Don Pasquale!"
will kick off the festival on the terrace of the Enoteca di
Cormòns on June 19, free entry. (ANSA).
