EU Court, Austria's aid to Austrian Airlines is legitimate
Ryanair's appeal rejected

(ANSA) - BRUSSELS, 14 LUG - The EU Court has confirmed the
compliance with the inner market rules of the aid granted by
Austria to Austrian Airlines to support the company after the
damages resulting from the cancellation or rescheduling of
flights due to the pandemic.
The Court, therefore, rejected Ryanair's appeal. According to the Luxembourg courts, "this aid does not constitute overcompensation, having been deducted from the subsidies that Germany granted, in the same context, to the Lufthansa Group, of which Austrian Airlines is a branch." (ANSA).
