Italy's FM in Belgrade, 'full support for your EU path'
'Enlargement to the Balkans is a strategic priority for Italy'

(ANSA) - BELGRADE, JUN 22 - Italian Foreign Minister Luigi Di
Maio underlined once more Italy's full support for Serbia's
European path today in Belgrade. Di Maio had talks with the top
leaders of the Balkan country. "Serbia has all the potential to
advance and progress towards integration into the European Union
successfully, and the objective is now an acceleration in
accession negotiations," Di Maio said at the end of the meeting
with his Serbian counterpart, Nikola Selakovic. "Italy strongly
supports the need to work in this direction, and with Minister
Selakovic, we discussed the importance of continuing to go on
with reforms to bring the country closer to Europe," added Di
Maio, speaking to journalists, along with his Serbian
counterpart. (ANSA).
