Balkans:Slovenia committed to EU enlargement into the region

The crucial issue of the upcoming Slovenian presidency of the EU

21 April, 15:55
(ANSA) - LJUBLJANA, 21 APR - The intention of the current Slovenian presidency of the European Union, in the coming six months, is to resume the political talks on enlargement into the Western Balkans, said Slovenian Foreign Minister Anze Logar.

Speaking at the press conference at the end of the trilateral meeting with Italy and Croatia on cooperation in the North Adriatic Area, Logar mentioned the similar stance of his Italian counterpart Luigi Di Maio. On the other hand, the Slovenian minister denied, just his Croatian partner did, the existence of an unofficial document (non-paper) on the division of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the revision of the borders in the Balkans, attributed to Slovenian Prime Minister Janez Jansa. The document has been in the spotlight in the last few days. Jansa has repeatedly denied issuing such a controversial paper. (ANSA).
