(ANSA) - ROME, MAR 30 - Italy's No 1 golfer Guido Migliozzi
is to warm up for next week's Masters at this week's Valero
Texas Open at the TPC San Antonio (Oaks Course).
Migliozzo, 25, from Vicenza, will be up against big names like
world number nine Rory McIlroy of Northern Ireland, Texan Jordan
Spieth who is the reigning champion at his home event, Japan's
reigning Masters champ Hideki Matsuyama, and Californian big
hitter Bryson DeChambeau, who is suffering from a niggling hand
injury.
American veteran Matt Kuchar is celebrating his 500th appearance
on the PGA Tour in San Antonio, which is the last chance to get
into the Masters.
Migliozzo has qualified for the Agusta classic thanks to his
fourth place in last year's US Open.
He will represent Italy in Georgia along with former Italian
number one and 2018 Open champ Francesco 'Chicco' Molinari.
The 39-year-old Turin-born former Ryder Cup star is hoping for a
return to top form. (ANSA).
