(ANSAmed) - DUBAI, 23 NOV - Italian Foreign Minister Luigi Di
Maio, speaking at Italian Sports Day in Dubai, said
communication is crucial in "relaunching" Italy and that's why
it is one of the six pillars that make up the Pact for Export
agreement signed in June 2020 with representatives of Italian
business.
"Thanks to the tools we have made available to companies with
the Pact, 'Made in Italy' exports have not only returned to
pre-Covid levels, but have exceeded recorded volume from 2019,
the year of the boom in Italian exports," Di Maio said.
He said Italy saw 377 billion euros' worth of exports in the
first nine months of 2021, compared to 356 billion euros in the
same period in 2019.
"We are maintaining the commitments made with vigor and
vision, promoting 'beautiful and well-made' Italian products
with strategic initiatives such as the one that, in less than a
week, on November 29th, we will officially launch. It will be an
extraordinary communication campaign, worth 50 million euros,
which will support the internationalisation of the national
economic system and Italian exports in the sectors most affected
by the health emergency," Di Maio said. (ANSAmed).
