(ANSA) - ROME, OCT 28 - Expo Dubai means business, but there
is one pavilion that has no economic interest in being there,
and only a cultural one: the Vatican's.
The Holy See, too, is present at Expo Dubai 2020, with its own
pavilion.
The aim of this presence is to build bridges and boost
fraternity because "we are all unique and we all need others,
Christians, Muslims and the persons of all other religions,"
said the Vatican.
The exhibit features videos on human fraternity, an installation
on cultural contamination and also a long wall with words of
faith in all the world's languages, which has a double effect,
the sensation that these words mingle together and superimpose
on each other.
But the piece de resistance of the Holy See's pavilion is a
high-tech reproduction of Michelangelo's Last Judgement on the
ceiling of the Sistine Chapel
Out of respect for the customs of the host country, the intimate
parts of the figures have been covered up. (ANSA).
