Slovenia: in 2021 excess mortality rate at 15%
But 3% fewer deaths than in 2020

(ANSA) - BELGRADE, FEB 8 - Slovenia recorded an excess
mortality rate of 15% last year in a comparison with the
2015-2019 average, data made public by the Slovenian Statistical
Office on Monday show. The month with the highest excess
mortality in 2021 was November (49%), followed by December and
January (28%), the Office noted. According to provisional data,
23,177 people died in Slovenia in 2021, which is 839 or 3% fewer
than in 2020. (ANSA).
