Safe holidays in Austria, we will do everything to prove it

21 May, 16:39
(ANSA) - BOLZANO, MAY 21 - "In no case will we open our borders to countries that do not yet have the situation of coronavirus infections under control," Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz said on Twitter. "The federal government will do everything possible to promote holidays in Austria and prove that holidays in our country are safe," Kurz added.

"I am happy that this summer we will be able to guarantee maximum safety and maximum fun for Austrians and guests from other safe countries," Kurz underlined.

"Tourism - he added - is an important driver of our economy and well-being and creates hundreds of thousands of jobs." Kurz then reiterated that his government would strive for a "good security model". "The goal - he explained - is to feel good and safe". For this reason, those who work in the tourism sector will be tested regularly. (ANSA).
