Slovenia: survey, Freedom Movement losing more support

But opposition parties are not growing enough

27 November, 12:10

(ANSA) - BELGRADE, NOV 27 - The latest POP TV public opinion poll shows the government in Slovenia and the ruling Freedom Movement are losing ground while other parties benefit little as most former Freedom Movement voters migrate to the undecided bloc, according to Slovenian news agency STA. A decrease of over five percentage points from the previous month, the Freedom Movement polled at 13.4%. The largest opposition party, the Democrats (SDS), have maintained first place despite a nearly two-percentage-point decline to 22%. The junior coalition partners made progress, as evidenced by the Social Democrats (SD) and the Left, each gaining half a point to 3.9% and 8.4%, respectively. The sole other opposition party, New Slovenia (NSi), fell by a half-point to 3.8%. (ANSA).
