Covid: Air Serbia to resume Belgrade-Rome flights 30/4

Two flights a week, a third starting 13/6

(ANSA) - BELGRADE, MAR 23 - Air Serbia announced it will resume direct flights between Belgrade and Rome starting April 30. According to media reports, initially there will be two flights per week between the two capitals, one on Monday and one on Friday. Then, depending on the epidemiological situation and restrictions to travel, a third weekly flight on Sunday is scheduled to start June 13. Air Serbia will be the only airline to guarantee a connection between the two countries. Flights between Belgrade and Rome were suspended in March 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic. They resumed last July but were once again suspended two weeks later due to the worsening epidemiological situation in Europe. Air Serbia's commercial and strategic director Jirzi Marek said Italy is a very important market for Serbia both from a tourism point of view as well as that of economic and trade relations. (ANSA).
