(ANSA) - BOLZANO, 29 MAR - After the end of German controls
in Kufstein, Austria also suspended checks at Brenner. From
mid-February, anyone entering Austria and Germany had to show a
negative test no older than 72 hours. The tight controls in the
first days had caused long queues of trucks. The situation then
improved with the establishment of tampon stations for truck
drivers at the Sadobre truck terminal in Vipiteno/Sterzing.
From Wednesday, however, a negative test will be mandatory for
those leaving Tyrol due to the presence of a new English variant
in the Austrian Land. This obligation also applies to those
traveling within Austria. (ANSA).
