(ANSA) - ROME, MAR 15 - Expo 2020 Dubai has passed the 19
million visitor mark, organizers said Tuesday.
It has reached 19,009,065 visits with a rise of almost 1.6
million over the past week, they said.
A focus on young people has helped the surge with 2.7 million
visitors under the age of 18 visiting the site since the event
opened last October, they said.
With just over two weeks left to go until it closes, the world's
fair still has many events in store including the national day
Ireland on St patrick's Day, March 17, while a Vatican guest is
expected on the Holy See's national day the following week.
The last thematic week of the universal exposition will be
dedicated to water and will start on March 20 with the aim of
appealing for global action to protect this good that is
precious for the whole world. (ANSA).
