A 36-year-old Belarussian model
accused by a 51-year-old Italian prince of taking advantage of
him has rejected media claims she is a gold-digger who has
preyed on a succession of wealthy men.
Tanya Yashenko is under investigation in Rome on suspicion of
"taking advantage of a disabled person" after Sicilian nobelman
Giacomo Bonanno di Linguaglossa filed a complaint against her
saying she had exerted an undue influence on him and diminished
his capacity to think for himself.
"I'm an independent and self-sufficient woman, enough with this
defamatory media campaign against me," she said, claiming that
the prince and she were on the same amorous standing as ever.
"My story with Giacomo continues", she said.
